Road Programs and Projects
The Mequon Road-Ozaukee Interurban Trail Improvement Project began April 24, 2023, and will conclude in October 2023.
• The project includes roadway and streetscape improvements of Mequon Road (WI -167) from North Buntrock Avenue to North Cedarburg Road.
• Mequon Road will be open to traffic, but will be narrowed to one (1) lane of traffic in both directions at times.
• Access to all properties will be provided throughout the project duration.

About the Project:
The I-43 North-South Reconstruction project spans 14 miles from Silver Spring Drive north to WIS 60, in Milwaukee and Ozaukee counties. WisDOT is reconstructing I-43 to modern design standards and adding a lane in each direction. Additionally, five interchanges along the corridor will be reconstructed:
Washington County is planning the roadway reconstruction of a 1.5-mile section of CTH M (Wasaukee Rd), from the intersection of Freistadt Rd (CTH F) northerly 1.5 miles and 1 mile of CTH M (Pioneer Road) from Country Aire Drive easterly to Wasaukee Rd. The project is located in the Village of Germantown, Town of Jackson and City of Mequon.
