Rehabilitation of the Sanitary Sewer Mains and Laterals in the Lac du Cours Subdivision

Routine inspection of the pipes in the sanitary sewer system in the Lac du Cours lead to rehabilitation of aging cast iron with cured-in-place pipe installation. That work was authorized by the Sewer Utility District Commission in 2017, and the cured-in-place pipe lining was completed by Visu Sewer, Inc. in 2018.  In addition to the cleaning and lining of the mainline cast iron, routine lateral examinations are planned for the 176 cast iron laterals in the public right of way.

Crews with Great Lakes TV & Seal, Inc. are contracted to complete this work. The Great Lakes crews may have trucks temporarily parked in various locations that modify traffic patterns. The sewer lateral work is anticipated to be completed this summer (2022) and your sewer service will not be interrupted, but crews may request that you reduce your water usage on the day of the sewer lateral work.

Property owners and residents will be notified with a door hanger that specifies the exact date and time in which this cleaning work will take place.  This work is expected to be completed within a few hours for each lateral. The televising and cleaning is anticipated to begin in Spring 2022 and continue through Summer 2022 in the Lac du Cours area.

Thank you for your patience, as this work helps preserve the integrity of the sanitary sewer collection system and maintain a reliable service.
