2024 Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker (Part-Time Weekends)

Time Line:  May – October weekends & holidays only
Hours: Start time approximately 6:00 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday.  Approximately 2-3 hours each day depending on the park activities scheduled.
Department: Parks Department
Starting Rate: $15.00/hour (no benefits)
Number of positions Available:  1

Duties:

• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of park and pool facilities which may include kitchens, bathrooms, and assembly areas;
• Trash pickup from general park/picnic areas to include buildings;
• Assist building renters where appropriate;

Qualifications:

• Background in cleaning or park maintenance;

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;

• Ability to communicate with Supervisor;

• Ability to manage and fill supplies at the facilities as needed;

• Ability to work under limited supervision;

• Ability to lift and manipulate items weighing up to 50 lbs.;

• Ability to work out of doors in all weather conditions for extended periods of time;

• Ability to work on your feet for up to 3 hours at a time;

• High school diploma; 18+ years of age;

• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, good driving record and ability to operate pick-up size vehicles.

Note:  Individuals hired must provide own safety shoes
