Sanitary Sewer Service Area Amendment

On August 1, 2022 the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC) transmitted a draft adopted changes to the sanitary sewer service area in Mequon. Pending certification by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in accordance with the provisions of Chapter NR 110 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code, the amended service area will become effective.  The proposed amendment adds three parcels over 93 acres into the Sanitary Sewer Service Area.

A number of parcels received an exemption for the 2018 charges by the City of Mequon Sewer Tax District, and respective properties are eligible to be excluded from future sewer charges via removal from the Sanitary Sewer Service Area.  The City of Mequon Sewer Utility District Commission (SUDC) and Common Council approved Resolution 3558 to exempt certain properties from associated charges.
