Board of Police Commissioners

Mission
The mission of the Police Commission is the appointment, discipline and removal of all Police Officers within the City as outlined in the Wisconsin State Statutes Chapter 62.13.

Membership
The board consists of five citizen members nominated by the mayor.  Members are appointed to serve for a five-year term.  Not more than three members may belong to anyone political party.  No alternates may be appointed. The board elects a chair and vice-chair from among its members at its first meeting each year following the common council organizational meeting.
