Landmarks Commission

Mission
The mission of the Landmarks Commission is to effect and accomplish the protection, enhancement, perpetuation and use of improvements of special character or special historical interest or value and of districts which represent elements of the City’s cultural, social, economic, political and architectural history.

Membership
The commission shall consist of eight citizen members nominated by the mayor. The mayor appoints a chair and vice-chair from among the commission’s members at each common council organizational meeting.
