County Line Road Sanitary Lift Station “Q” Force Main Replacement

In the summer of 2021, the City of Mequon is planning to replace the sanitary force main in County Line Road from Reibs Road to Arrowood Drive.  Vehicular Detours are planned after the 4th of July as the road will be closed to through traffic at the Wisconsin Central Ltd. (CN) Railroad crossing.  Traffic detours are planned to route vehicles along STH 57 / STH 167 / STH 181.  This work includes approximately 1400 linear feet of 6-inch dia. sanitary force. The construction is anticipated to take 45 working days, and sewer service will not be interrupted.

This sewer work is part of the capital improvement plan where cast iron force mains are strategically being replaced throughout the City to provide reliable sewer service.  This sanitary sewer force main work will use a trenchless technology to minimize pavement impacts and disruption to your travels along Parkview and Eastgate Drive. However, roadway cuts are required near the lift station at 5600 West Countyline Road, in addition to road cuts for jacking pits to cross underneath the railroad.

Traffic control devices will be installed, so please travel safely through the construction area.  Also, a temporary flow controls are planned, and temporary piping may be installed going through driveway culverts along the ditch line.  In addition, access to driveways may temporarily be interrupted while the pipe is laid out, then fused together and installed the next day.  You can obtain on-street parking by contacting the Mequon Police Department at 242-3500.

The project site will be restored in kind and the project will be supervised by a City inspector for the duration of the project. Please do not remove any utility marking flags or paint marks until this work is completed to help facilitate the work and for worker safety.  Traffic control measures and detours are required for everyone’s safety and may cause minor delays so please be patient with the progress of our infrastructure project and please travel safely through the construction area.
