Mid Moraine Court Plea Information

The City of Mequon is served by the Mid-Moraine Municipal Court. The Municipal Court serves cities in Washington and Ozaukee Counties.  If you have received a citation from an officer of the Mequon Police Department, this section will help you with the processes of the Municipal Court system. Please take the time to read this information.

Dispute a Citation

If you wish to dispute the citation, enter a plea of not guilty to the charge by doing one of the following:

• Complete and return the bottom portion of the Important Notice Form you received with your citation with the Not Guilty line checked.

• Appear at the Municipal Court Office and complete a Not Guilty Plea Form.

• Appear in court and enter a Not Guilty plea.

All not guilty pleas entered by mail or by form must be received by the Municipal Court 1 day prior to court. You do not need to appear at your court date. You will be notified within 2 weeks after your court date of a Pretrial Conference scheduled for the following month.

Do Not Dispute a Citation

If you do not wish to dispute the citation, enter a plea of no contest or guilty to the charge and return the bottom portion of the Important Notice Form you received with your citation along with your payment prior to the court date on your citation.

Please make your check or money order payable to Mid-Moraine Municipal Court. You may also pay online by clicking here.
