Auxiliary Officers

The Mequon Police Department Auxiliary Unit is comprised of volunteer civilian individuals who are dedicated to supporting the department. These unarmed men and women assist with various community service functions such as traffic control and grounds security at events and emergency situations. Training is provided by the Mequon Police Department in emergency response, rescue operations, and practical policing techniques.

To become an auxiliary officer, you must meet the following criteria:

- Reside in the City of Mequon or the Village of Thiensville, or in a neighboring community
- Be at least twenty years old, with no negative police contacts
- Have a genuine interest in serving the community
