Name your interest - you'll find it in Mequon. 

The City of Mequon is home to a wide array of arts, music, and community events. It supports a vibrant array of free community events and attractions that draw tourists from across the Midwest. Concordia University’s Music Department hosts concerts year round, and the Weyenberg Library puts on a fine arts series that rivals all other communities' series. Or root on the  Lakeshore Chinooks, the area's local semi-pro baseball team, right in your backyard. 

There is always something to do in Mequon. 

Annual Events

  • The annual Winter Frolic Festival is at the Mequon Nature Preserve in February. Participants will enjoy an array of outdoor activities such as: lumberjack challenges,  dog sled demos, sleigh rides, snowshoeing, ice fishing, winter marketplace and bonfires while listening to live music. 
     
  • Pommern Tag, an outdoor German festival, takes place in June in Rotary Park and features Pommersche Tanzdeel and Alte Kameraden music, ethnic food, displays, entertainment and cultural events.
     
  • In July, Gathering on the Green holds its premier multiple outdoor performing arts festival at the scenic Rotary Park under the summer stars. The concert not only features fine arts but also has brings in some of the biggest national touring acts. Saturday evening ends with a fireworks display choreographed to live music.
     
  • In September, visitors and community members alike can enjoy Taste of Mequon, a concert and festival that highlights area restaurants and art vendor. Event participants can enjoy the taste of scrumptious food prepared by local restaurants, sit back and listen to sounds of local entertainers, visit with family, friends and neighbors, stroll from booth to appreciate the artwork crafted by local artists.
