The City of Mequon allows door to door sales of merchandise and services with the issuance of a Peddler’s License. Each licensee has undergone a background check conducted by the police department and approved by the Finance-Personnel Committee prior to issuance of the license. This year, the city has issued licenses to businesses selling products such as educational books, home design services, pest control and investment advice, among others.
Prior to the license being issued, each applicant is given a list of the city guidelines - please review and adhere to the following:
While selling, a photo ID is required to be visible and the City-issued license must be carried and produced if requested by the homeowner.
