Electronic Poll Books (Badger Books)

In February 2023, the Common Council approved the purchase of Electronic Poll Books, known as Badger Books, for use on election day.  The electronic poll books will replace the paper binders that are used for checking in voters.  The City of Mequon began using electronic poll books in 2020 at one polling site, the Pieper Power Educational Center at the Nature Preserve. This was a pilot program to gauge ease of use, accuracy and efficiency of the product. The program has been a success for all involved: voters, poll workers and staff, and the City Clerk’s Office is now expanding their use city-wide.  For more information, click here.
