County Line Road Sewer Project to Begin Next Week
As part of the Mequon Sewer Utility Capital Program Budget, work continues to replace sanitary force mains that are made of cast iron to avoid broken pipes and sewer overflows. A sanitary force main replacement project is scheduled to begin the week of August 2 on County Line Road from Cedarburg Road to Baehr Road. A detour is planned to route traffic around the work near the railroad crossing. Letters were sent to property owners in May with notification that the Common Council awarded a contract to complete this work.  A second letter was sent to property owners in June once the contract was signed and the contractor submitted their schedule to begin prep work in July and construction in August.  The project is scheduled to be completed this fall. Please refer to the City’s webpage for more details on the sewer work and detour route.
