Newly Installed Flock Safety Camera System Sees Success
The Police Department’s Flock Camera system that was funded in the 2022 budget has been installed.  There are six cameras as a part of this system.  Two are located on Mequon Road just east of Port Washington Road, one is on Cedarburg Road near River Barn Park, one is on Wauwatosa Road near Donges Bay Road, one is on Swan Road near County Line Road, and one is on Mequon Road near Swan Road.

The Police Department has already had a success story.  A suspect was observed by a citizen stealing items from their vehicle.  The citizen then watched the suspect get into a vehicle that he was able to provide a description for to the Police Department.  Officers searched the cameras and found the suspect vehicle on the camera system.  Officers were able to obtain a good photo and description of this suspect vehicle.  This vehicle was seen a few days later in Mequon and was stopped by officers.  The suspect was arrested for the original theft from unlocked vehicles and was in possession of items taken from another unlocked vehicle that was entered in Mequon.
