River Barn Park Sommer Pavilion

The enclosed Pavilion at River Barn capacity is 100 people.

There is staff controlled air conditioning and heat . There are also ceiling fans and windows that renters may use.

The kitchen has two full sized refrigerators, range (stove and oven), microwave and sink.

There is a closet that stores twelve 5’ round tables that will seat up to 96 people, Four 8’ rectangular banquet tables and 100 chairs.

Please replace the tables and chairs back to the storage closet as they were found after your event. Please note that these tables and chairs are for indoor use only.

Washroom facilities are located in the pavilion, which are also available to other park users such as sport teams, hikers, etc. (park users do have their own entrance to the washroom)

Park features a playground, three baseball diamonds, soccer fields canoe/kayak launch, picnic tables and a grill.

NOTICE Regarding use of decorations in the pavilion

There are no decorations allowed that in any way would mark or damage the Pavilion.

This would include the use of such items as – push pins, adhesive materials (including tape), putty, balloons, etc.

The use of confetti, glitter, rice, any type of balloons , etc. is also prohibited.

No exceptions.

Sommer pavilion is available to rent year round.

Pavilion fee $475 (plus tax)

Additional refundable deposit $200

Nonresident fee $100 (plus tax)

The City of Mequon schedules rentals up to a year in advance.

Parcel History

This parcel (37 acres) was purchased by the City in 1993 with funds from the land acquisition account and a grant from the DNR for the specific purpose of multi-use active recreation while preserving the river frontage for passive use and pedestrian enjoyment.
