COVID-19 Update for the Week Ending Friday, September 11
The City of Mequon, in coordination with the Washington/Ozaukee Public Health Department and other state and federal agencies, continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19.

  • As of this afternoon, the State has had 86,250 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 1,197  associated deaths.  Of the cases in Wisconsin, 1,059 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 19 related deaths have been in Ozaukee County, based on information from the Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department (WOPHD).

  • WOPHD has updated its data dashboard to include recovered cases, positivity rate, school district-specific data, and ongoing public health investigations in schools.

  • The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is urging Wisconsinites to get the flu vaccine by Halloween as “reducing illness and hospitalization from flu is critical this year to protect our frontline health care workers and hospital systems who will continue to care for people with COVID-19.”

Police Department Participates in Drive Sober Mobilization

  • 19 Speeding Citations
  • 6 Operating with Revoked/Suspended Driver’s License Citations

Mequon Nature Preserve Has Plenty of "Play Space"
The Mequon Nature Preserve (MNP) has been hard at work creating a new “Play Space” for children of all ages to enjoy.  The Play Space has been made possible by a long-time supporter of MNP.  An official ribbon cutting event to celebrate the new Play Space will be held at a later date that is yet to be announced.

While the education center remains closed, there are many new attractions to enjoy on and off the trails, such as the ever-changing Kiosk located just outside the main building.  The Kiosk has maps, color sheets, scavenger hunt materials, stickers, buttons and even dog leashes. The Preserve provides something for everyone!
