Ozaukee County Now Offering COVID-19 Testing 5 Days/Week
The Washington Ozaukee Public Health Department (WOPHD) has increased their free COVID-19 PCR testing from 2 to 5 days/week through WOPHD/Curative.  Testing is free, open to all ages and results will be available in 48-72 hours.  Appointments are available, but not required.  Visit curative.com for more information and to schedule an appointment at the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds or Washington County Fair Park.

Overnight Dispatching Temporarily Transitions to County
Beginning on Monday, October 11, the Police Department will transition to Ozaukee County for temporary overnight dispatching.  The Department will not always have a staff member present in the Public Safety Building on Buntrock Avenue between the hours of 11:45 P.M. - 8:00 A.M., but the lobby will still be open for citizens in need of a police officer.  There will be a phone in the lobby that will, when picked up, be a direct connection to the Ozaukee County Dispatch Center to send a Police Officer to the lobby to assist.  There will be signs posted with directions. Administrative functions (permits, open records, etc.)  will not be available during the overnight hours.  All Police calls for service will continue as usual.  911 calls and non-emergency calls to 262-242-3500 will automatically be routed to Ozaukee County during those times and Mequon Officers will be dispatched accordingly.  This temporary modification will be in effect through January 2022.

Active Shooter Presentation by Mequon Police on 10/19
The Mequon-Thiensville Recreation Department is offering a free presentation on Tuesday, October 19 from 1:00 P.M. – 2:30 P.M. at the Range Line Community Center from Detective Lance Wegner and Officer Glejf of the Police Department on citizen and business response to active shooter events.  The recent national tragedies remind us that this is real and can happen anywhere at any place, and at any time.  Register for the event by October 12.
