Port Washington Rd. Water Main Relocation Near Completion
The water main relocation project in Port Washington Road is 85% complete and all work is anticipated to be finalized by Thanksgiving.   In response to traffic complaints, staff met with WisDOT and Milwaukee County staff this week, as Port Washington Road south of County Line Road is the jurisdiction of Milwaukee County. Traffic cones replaced some barrels and temporary pavement markings will be installed.   In addition, intermittent temporary flagging operations are anticipated that may slow traffic further at times, as construction crews complete final connections.  The City appreciates drivers being extra safe in the work zone and for everyone’s patience due to this traffic pattern adjustment while the water main work is completed.  Gas line work by WE Energies will take place thereafter.
