COVID-19 Update for the Week Ending Friday, May 7
The City of Mequon, in coordination with the Washington/Ozaukee Public Health Department (WOPHD) and other state and federal agencies, continues to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

  • As of this afternoon, the State has reported that 2,564,935 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered and 2,117,418 Wisconsin residents have completed the vaccination series.
  • After a safety review, the FDA and CDC have determined that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine pause should be lifted and that vaccine use can resume.
  • WOPHD can vaccinate those 18 and older with the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Residents may register in advance or walk in at WOPHD vaccine clinics to receive a vaccination.

Please help to continue limiting the spread of COVID-19 in the community by, maintaining a safe social distance, avoiding large gatherings, following proper hygiene practices, and staying home when sick.

Ozaukee County to Host Clean Sweep Event on Saturday, May 8
As a reminder, Ozaukee County will host a Clean Sweep event tomorrow from 8:00 a.m. - Noon. Clean Sweep is an opportunity for residents, agricultural producers, and some businesses to properly
dispose of hazardous waste, used tires, electronics and appliances. The event will be held at the Ozaukee County Highway Shop located on 1221 Hilltop Drive in the Town of Cedarburg. Fees may apply for the disposal of certain items. Click here to learn more about the event and registration requirements.

Library Announces Release of New Smart Phone App
This week the Weyenberg Library announced the release of its new library app Monarch2Go. The app offers users the ability to manage their account, search the catalog, check library hours, and look for digital resources and events on the Library’s calendar. Additionally, users will be able to schedule an appointment at the Quick Pick-up window located at the southeast corner of the building. OED 2021 Business of the Year Nominations Now Open
Nominations are being accepted for the Ozaukee Economic Development 2021 Business of the Year award.  Applications are being accepted through May 26.  Awards will be presented at the OED Business of the Year and Economic Forecast Breakfast on Tuesday, October 19. Community Blood Drive Scheduled for May 14
