City Issues COVID-19 Updates for the Community
The City of Mequon, in coordination with the Washington/Ozaukee Public Health Department and other state and federal agencies, continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19 and share information with the public. The City is posting updates online, which can be accessed by clicking here, during this emergency as conditions warrant, and as new or updated information becomes available. The City appreciates the patience from Mequon residents and the community at-large as we collectively work through this quickly evolving situation together.

City Earns Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting
This week the City received notice from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) that the City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for Fiscal Year 2018 has received the Association’s Certificate of Achievement. The Certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting and this is now the sixth consecutive year that the City has won the award. Bridge work to begin along I-43 in Ozaukee County Begins Next Week
The week of March 23, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is tentatively scheduled to begin the rehabilitation of several structures along I-43 between WIS 60 and the northern Ozaukee County line. Commuters can expect single lane closures along I-43 to be implemented where crews are working. The WIS 60 on-ramp to northbound I-43 is also scheduled to close as work progresses next week and remain closed until the end of June. Please click here to view WisDOT’s website for further details.
