Common Council Meeting Reminder for August
Due to the Partisan Primary Election falling on the second Tuesday in August, the Common Council meeting and standing committee meetings will be held on Wednesday, August 10.

County Line Road Construction Remains on Schedule
Road work to replace the box culvert on County Line Road between Range Line Road and River Road is on-schedule and the road will re-open at the end of July as anticipated. New concrete storm pipes were installed this past week. Any project-specific questions may be directed to the City of Mequon Engineering Division at (262) 236-2934.

Taste of Mequon Still Accepting Vendor Applications
The Festivals Committee has been busy finalizing details for this year’s ninth annual Taste of Mequon taking place on Saturday, September 10 from noon – 9:00 P.M.  They would like to thank this year’s sponsors Kohler Credit Union, Concordia University, Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin, Olsen’s Piggly Wiggly, Mequon Thiensville Community Foundation, Richmond Investment Services, Port Washington State Bank, and Sendik’s Food Market for making the event possible.  They are excited to announce that this year’s bands will be FallBack, the WhiskeyBelles, and Orange Whips.  Vendor applications are still being accepted and volunteers are needed to help as greeters or in the Children’s Area. 4th of July Events and Observances
All are welcome to join in the Freistadt Fourth Parade that begins at 1:00 P.M. in the parking lot off of Granville Road, south of Trinity Freistadt Lutheran Church at 10729 W. Freistadt Road. The parade will consist of collector cars, decorated children’s bikes, wagons, and more.  Flag raising follows the parade. The perennial plant sale will be on the Historical Grounds from 1:30 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. 

All non-emergency City offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. The Mequon Pool will be open from noon – 5:00 P.M.  City offices will resume normal hours on Tuesday, July 5.

OED Business of the Year Award Winners Announced
The 2022 Ozaukee Economic Development (OED) Business of the Year award winners were recently announced.  Vertz Marketing of Mequon was named as OED’s Small Business of the Year, Parts Badger of Cedarburg received the Medium-Sized Business of the Year award, and Hayes Performance Systems, also in Mequon, is the Large Business of the Year.  The companies will be honored at the OED’s Annual Business of the Year breakfast on September 29.
