Sign Up for Mequon Cares
The Mequon Police Department (MPD) is proud to have a program called Mequon Cares. This program is designed to assist the many Mequon residents who live alone and are not in daily contact with relatives or friends and may have an accident or become ill. The program is designed to have the enrolled resident call the MPD at (262) 242-3500 every day before noon. If a resident forgets to call, a dispatcher will call. If the dispatcher’s call is not answered, then the dispatcher will send a police officer to check on the resident’s well-being. Keep in mind that if MPD can't make contact, as a last resort, officers will force entry in an attempt to check on the resident’s well-being. It's very important for participants to let MPD know if they’ll away for any length of time for any reason; vacation or extended hospitalization. The service is free and confidential for any resident of the City of Mequon. Click here to enroll or call the department at (262) 242-3500 and ask to speak to a clerk to sign you up.

Information from the Police Department about “Real ID” from Wisconsin DMV
The deadline for the REAL ID is October 1, 2020. Everyone will need the REAL ID to access federal facilities/buildings and to board federally regulated commercial aircraft (including domestic flights and flights you may take for business purposes). The REAL ID includes a Driver’s License or Identification Card that includes a star in the upper right-hand corner. If you already have this star on your Driver’s License or Identification Card, you already have the REAL ID and do not need to take any further action at this time. If you DO NOT have the star in the upper right-hand corner of your Driver’s License or Identification Card, you should obtain a new REAL ID license or ID card before October 1, 2020. You may get a new REAL ID license even if your current license or ID card has not expired. You will need to bring additional documentation (such as a passport, SSN card, and proof you live in Wisconsin) in order to obtain a REAL ID. Please click here for more information from the Department of Transpiration.
