COVID-19 Update for the Week Ending Friday, February 19
The City of Mequon, in coordination with the Washington/Ozaukee Public Health Department (WOPHD) and other state and federal agencies, continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19.

Please help to continue limiting the spread of COVID-19 in the community by maintaining a safe social distance, avoiding large gatherings, following proper hygiene practices, and staying home when sick.

February 16 Primary Election Results
The statewide primary for Superintendent of Public Instruction was held on Tuesday, February 16. The top two candidates receiving votes, Deborah Kerr and Jill Underly, are moving on to the Spring Election. Mequon saw a 9% voter turnout, with 54% of the votes cast by absentee ballots. The Spring Election will be held on April 6, 2021.

Brush Permits Available March 1
2021 Brush Permits will be available for purchase starting Monday, March 1. The brush site will be open Wednesdays and Saturdays from April 3 through November 27. Brush site and burn permits are available for purchase with cash or check in the Finance Department at Mequon City Hall, Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., or at the Mequon Police Department starting March 1. Those wishing to purchase a permit will have to present either a driver's license or utility bill showing their Mequon address upon purchase. Additionally, permits may be purchased online with a credit card starting Monday, March 1. To purchase a permit online, please click here. If paying online, please print out the confirmation page and bring it along when visiting the brush site.

Annual Dog License Renewal Reminder
All dogs in the City are required to be licensed annually. To obtain a new or renew a license, please visit the Finance Department at City Hall between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A current rabies immunization statement from a veterinarian must be on file or accompany the payment to receive a license. The Finance Department accepts checks or cash only.

The following fees apply: Not neutered male or not spayed female $15, Neutered male or spayed female $10,  Late charge fee for dogs licensed after Wednesday, March 31 $5.
