Police Department Issues Message about Increase Thefts from Vehicles
The Mequon Police Department is seeing an uptick in thefts from vehicles over the last two weeks, as well as one stolen vehicle, in the community. All the thefts have been from unlocked vehicles, some of which have keys and garage door openers inside, resulting in garages being entered. Thefts are occurring during the overnight hours between 12:00 A.M. - 5:00 A.M. The Department would like to remind residents that crime in Mequon is primarily a crime of opportunity. Please lock your vehicles, do not leave keys or valuables in your vehicles, and remove the garage door opener, if your vehicle is left outside. Please report any suspicious people or vehicles to the Mequon Police Department. If you are immediately observing this behavior, call 911. If any community member has any information to assist the Department, please call the non-emergency number, 262-242-3500. The affected area has primarily been on the west side of the City.

Absentee Ballots Now Available
