County-wide Appliance & Recycling Event at Firemen’s Park
All Ozaukee County Residents are welcome to participate in the Community (Appliance & Electronics) Recycling Event at Firemen's Park located at W65N796 Washington Avenue in Cedarburg on Saturday, April 30, from 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Refrigerant Depot LLC will be collecting items.  Please visit the website for more information and acceptable items.  The other Saturday collection dates for 2022 are June 11 and September 24.

Drug Take Back Day Taking Place on Saturday, April 30
Drug Take Back Day will be held on Saturday, April 30, at Concordia University from 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. Mequon Officers and pharmacy students from Concordia will be available to take unused/old/expired medication.  This will be a drive-up event located near the Pharmacy Building on Concordia University’s Mequon Campus, located at 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive.  Please note that Highland Bridge is out, so follow the detour route to campus.

2022 Arbor Day Festival on Sunday, May 1
The 2022 Arbor Day Festival will be held on Sunday, May 1, at Sommer Pavilion in River Barn Park, 9808 N. Cedarburg Road, between 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. There will once again be educational vendors, a raffle inside the pavilion, and a tree planting demonstration in the park. The give-away trees will include Balsam Fir, White Cedar, White Pine, White Spruce, American Basswood, Northern Red Oak, Shagbark Hickory, Sugar Maple, Tamarack, American Elderberry, American Hazelnut, Nannyberry, and Serviceberry.

M-T Recreation Department Offering Lunch Boxes for Seniors
The Mequon-Thiensville Recreation Department is providing free lunch for Seniors (age 65 and older) from Prime Minister restaurant one Wednesday per month.  Seniors should sign up to reserve a meal at least one week ahead of time by calling (262) 238-7535.  The next meal distribution is scheduled for May 18.  Thanks to sponsor Michael P. Rotary Club Collecting Medical Supplies for Ukraine
The Thiensville-Mequon Noon Rotary Club has placed collection boxes at the Frank L. Weyenberg Library and Fantasy Flowers in Thiensville for area residents to drop-off emergency medical supplies for Ukraine.  The donations will be shipped directly to Ukraine from Rotary International District 6450.  The following items are needed: bandages, gauze, Neosporin or other topical creams, warm socks (both adult and children's sizes), female hygiene menstrual kits, slings, emergency kits, combat action tourniquets, Israeli gauze compression bandages, 14 gauze (at least 2 inch long), Angiocatheter needles, QuickClot gauze, chlorine tablets for clean water, and trauma clotting kits.
