City Issues COVID-19 Updates for the Community
The City of Mequon continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19 and share information with the public. The City is posting updates online, which can be accessed by clicking here, during this emergency as conditions warrant, and as new or updated information becomes available.

As a reminder, yesterday Governor Evers issued Emergency Order 28, which extends the current ‘Safer at Home’ Order from Friday, April 24 until Tuesday, May 26 throughout the entire state. The extended order continues to restrict all non-essential business and travel. Accordingly, all Mequon residents are advised to stay in their homes as requested and to leave only for the permitted reasons/activities outlined in the Order, such as purchasing food, seeking medical care, obtaining needed medications or engaging in exercise. Please click here to view Emergency Order 28.

Local Spring Election Results & Pending Recount
On Tuesday, April 7, with 57% voter turnout, the City of Mequon elected Glenn Bushee as Alderman District 2, Dale Mayr as Alderman District 3, Mark Gierl as Alderman District 5, and Brian Parrish as Alderman District 6. Additionally, due to the close nature of the race for the Aldermanic District 5 seat, there is a recount scheduled for this Saturday, April 18, by the Board of Canvass at Mequon City Hall.  The recount is set to begin at 9:00 A.M. tomorrow and will likely take a full day to complete. During a recount all absentee ballots and ballots from election day will be reviewed and re-tabulated using the polling machines.  The results of the recount will be reported once the count is completed.
