Cedarburg Road Sanitary Rehabilitation Work Scheduled for April
As part of the Sewer Utility Capital Program’s budget and in coordination with the Village of Thiensville, a third phase to rehabilitate the Mequon-Thiensville sanitary lines along Cedarburg Road is scheduled to begin this month. The rehabilitation work includes installation of a cured-in-place-pipe lining system that extends the life of the pipe and limits major excavation.  Letters were sent to property owners in February with notification that a contract to complete this work is being executed by the City.  A second notification letter was sent to property owners in March upon receipt of a signed contract and schedule from the contractor to begin prep work in March and installation in April. This sewer rehabilitation effort along Cedarburg Road extends from County Line Road to Donges Bay Road.  The current project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2021, in advance of the road work on Cedarburg Road (STH 57), a State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) project. The first phase of this sanitary sewer work was completed in 2017, and a second phase was completed in 2020. For more details on the upcoming DOT paving project scheduled for 2022, please click here to visit WisDOT’s website.
