City Issues COVID-19 Updates for the Community
The City of Mequon continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19 and share information with the public. The City is posting updates online, which can be accessed by clicking here, during this emergency as conditions warrant, and as new or updated information becomes available. The City appreciates the patience from Mequon residents and the community at-large as we collectively work through this quickly evolving situation together.

Hawthorne Road Discussion to Continue in May
The City’s website was updated this week to announce that the Hawthorne Road life cycle discussion will be delayed to May 12. Residents who had previously provided their email addresses were updated via email as well. While the Hawthorne Road life cycle review was scheduled for the April meeting, it will be delayed until May 12 to allow sufficient time for review and public input. The City did not feel that the new format would provide residents with enough time to review the information and provide public comment prior to the meeting.

Under the “Supporting Documents” section on the Hawthorne Road page of the City’s website, please find the Life Cycle Table, as generated by the consultant. The table defines the life expectancy of each of the options, as well as the construction and maintenance costs.

While the May meeting could also be hosted electronically, the City hopes that providing the information for review and public comment provides residents with sufficient time. The website also provides contact information for public comment.

2020 Census – Be Counted
Have you been counted?  Responding to the 2020 Census is important as it affects the amount of funding a community receives, how a community plans, and determines representation in government.  Help shape the future of the community by filling out the 2020 Census survey. For more information, please visit the Census Bureau’s website or visit the City’s 2020 Census webpage.
