City Seeks Aldermanic Applicants to Represent District 6
The City of Mequon Common Council is seeking applicants for appointment to the office of Alderman, District 6. The successful appointee will fill the current seat until a special election on April 7, 2020. The winning candidate in April 2020 will be up for reelection in April 2021, the expiration of the term of office for the District 6 Alderman. Applicants must be 18 years old or older and a resident of District 6. It is anticipated that the successful appointee will take office beginning on November 12. Interested residents should submit a resume and letter of intent to the City Clerk’s Office no later than 12:00 P.M. on October 15 to 11333 N. Cedarburg Road, Mequon, WI 53092 or by email to kandrykowski@ci.mequon.wi.us. Personal interviews will be scheduled at a date and time that is yet to be determined at City Hall.

Cedarburg Road Project Nearing Completion
This week the Department of Public Works crews worked on finishing shouldering and tree removal while the contractor is finishing the striping, restoration, and final punch list items.  It is anticipated that the roadway will reopen within 1 to 3 weeks, depending on weather.  For safety reasons, please continue to use the detour route until the project is completed.

2019 Taste of Mequon Sees Success
This year’s Taste of Mequon took place on September 7 and was a huge success.  The event was filled with attendees enjoying food, music, and fun from open to close! Thank you to all the volunteers, vendors, and staff who helped make this year’s event one to remember.
