Milwaukee River Level Recedes
Over the past week, the Milwaukee River water level has fallen well below the flood stage elevation.  According to current reports from the National Weather Service, the Milwaukee River elevation is expected to continue to drop. Please click here to view the National Weather Service’s Pioneer Road monitoring station information. According to Ozaukee County Emergency Management, damages caused by the flooding are significantly less than anticipated throughout the county. Additionally, County Officials have indicated that at this time it is unlikely that assistance grants or loans through the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the state will be made available for restoration of homes or businesses due to the low statewide damages.  A future update will be published if the City is made aware of any changes in the availability of additional state or federal aid that could impact residents.

Ozaukee Economic Development Issues Annual Report
The City has renewed its annual membership with Ozaukee Economic Development (OED), which works as Mequon’s link to business assistance and financing, new business entrepreneurial training, workforce development, business retention and new business development and attraction.  Enclosed is the OED’s Annual Report for 2018.
