Board of Police and Fire Commissioners Select Next Police Chief
The City of Mequon Board of Police & Fire Commissioners (PFC) has selected Captain Patrick Pryor of the Mequon Police Department to serve as the City’s next Police Chief, succeeding Chief Dan Buntrock, who will be retiring this spring. Since joining the force in 1999, Captain Pryor has served 6 years as a Police Officer, 12 years as a Sergeant and 2 years in the role of Captain. As Police Chief, Pryor will be responsible for administering and enhancing the community’s high level of policing services, overseeing numerous public safety programs, and providing an important perspective to members of the Common Council and the City’s senior management team. Pending the completion of all pre-appointment screening procedures, it is expected that Captain Pryor will be sworn in as Police Chief on Friday, May 3.
