East Trunk Sewer Project Update
This week, the City held another public information meeting (PIM) on the East Trunk Sewer (ETS) project.  This followed previous PIMs in May, and last fall in August and September.  The City’s website shows the exhibits that were on display at the meetings.  ETS construction has begun and the contractor is preparing to tunnel underneath the railroad this month.  In addition, the parking lot on Zedler Lane for Katherine Kearney Park will be temporarily closed due to construction activities beginning next week. The park will remain open to users. A notice of the parking lot closure was posted in the park in April, to letters were sent to Mequon residents near the park, additional notice signs were placed in the park in May, and PARKING LOT CLOSED signs were placed on site this week. The parking lot for the park located on Katherine Drive remains open while the Zedler Lane parking lot is temporarily closed. Construction fencing and chain link fencing around the workshafts will be installed. For more information on the project, please visit the City’s website by clicking here.
