Gateway Committee to Host Open House on June 26
The Mequon-Thiensville Gateway Committee invites you to view the community promenade proposed for the northeast corner of Mequon Road and Cedarburg Road. This is an opportunity to view images and rendering footage of the feature, get answers to questions, and learn about opportunities to contribute to the project. The event will be held from 5:30 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on June 26 at the Frank L. Weyenberg Library.
New Police Officer Recruitment Process and Application
Recruitment for law enforcement professionals is evolving and becoming more competitive for quality candidates. In light of the nature of today’s market, a continuous Police Officer recruitment process has been implemented. The goal of the new process is to establish a continuous eligibility list that can be used to fill current and future vacancies as they arise instead of beginning a new recruitment process periodically through the year. This new process should reduce the time needed to fill Police Officer vacancies. Additionally, the Police Department implemented a new law enforcement specific application to help streamline the application process.
43rd Annual Pommerntag Festival Taking Place this Sunday, June 24
This is a one-day ethnic festival held at Rotary Park. Pommerntag will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday June 24, 2018. Come enjoy music, dancing, indoor cultural displays, and of course food and drinks. Click here to learn more about this family fun event.
Community Blood Drive Scheduled for Friday, July 13
The Mequon Police Department is hosting a Community Blood Drive from 7:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. on Friday, July 13. The event will be located at Mequon City Hall at 11333 North Cedarburg Road.
