Civic Campus Parking Lot Nears Completion
The contractor is diligently working to provide us with 53 new spaces prior to the Taste of Mequon. It has been a big week for the parking lot project at the Civic Campus. This week crews laid asphalt, started placing the pavers, installed lighting, and completed the majority of the sidewalk. The areas in which the curb looks high will be backfilled and landscaped to soften the appearance. The landscaper will be completing this portion of the project as soon as they are able to enter the lot. Going forward, the lot will be open for parking once the stripes are painted and the large landscaping features are installed, which is anticipated to be completed shortly after the Labor Day holiday.

Cedarburg Road Project Moves Forward Swiftly
The Cedarburg Road contractor is ahead of schedule and has placed the surface course (final layer) of asphalt this week. Striping, shouldering and other miscellaneous items still need to be completed prior to opening the roadway. The stripes and shoulders are necessary to ensure the safety of the traveling public. Currently, only those who live on or are doing business within the closure should be using the roadway and only in a limited capacity. It is anticipated that the remaining items will be completed over the next few weeks and the newly improved road will reopened to the public.
