Common Council Held Annual Organizational Meeting on Tuesday, April 17
The annual organizational meeting took place on Tuesday. At this meeting, the Aldermen for Districts 6, 7 and 8 were sworn into office and committee assignments and appointments were approved. Common Council President Wirth made the following assignments:

Mequon Police Department to host Drug Take Back Day Event on Saturday, April 28
Safely dispose of all unwanted, unneeded or expired medications. Participants may dispose of solid, non-liquid medication(s) by removing the medication from its container and disposing of it directly into a disposal box or into a clear sealable plastic bag. Blister packages are acceptable without the medications being removed. Liquids, creams, and sprays must be in their original packaging. This free event will be from 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. on April 28 at Concordia University Wisconsin at 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive, Mequon. Please see the attached flyer for additional details.
Arbor Day Event Scheduled for Sunday, April 29
Arbor Day festivities will be held at River Barn Park Pavilion from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 29. There will be a tree planting demonstration at 2:00 P.M. and free trees and shrubs will be made available for pick up.
