Mequon Police Department Citizens Police Academy

The Citizens’ Police Academy (CPA) strives to educate residents about police operations. The CPA combines classroom instruction and practical demonstrations to familiarize participants with the role and duties of police officers. Emphasis is placed on hands-on experience with police tools and technology. The program includes an orientation to the police department, tours of the station, and sessions on evidence collection, traffic enforcement, OWI patrol, drug investigation, and more. The CPA is a 6-week commitment, with classes held at the City of Mequon Police Department located at 11300 N. Buntrock Avenue in the City of Mequon. Each evening covers a variety of different topics. This year the course will start on September 16th, 2024, and conclude with graduation on October 21st, 2024.
