City of Mequon and Village of Thiensville Community Gateway Features
The City of Mequon and the Village of Thiensville, on behalf of the Mequon-Thiensville Gateway Committee, are seeking qualified firms to submit Statement of Qualifications for the development of a neighborhood gateway feature. Mequon and Thiensville municipalities collaboratively seek to design and implement gateway features which announce to motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians that they have arrived in the new and expanding central neighborhood encompassing residential, commercial and public amenities of the City of Mequon and Village of Thiensville combined. The selected firm will design features, with decorative hardscape and landscaping, to be bid out for construction and installation by July 31, 2018. The deadline to submit for the RFQ is Thursday November 16, 2017 at 3:00 pm.

Questions pertaining to this request shall be submitted in writing within email communication from proposer to Director Kim Tollefson at DCD1@ci.mequon.wi.us. All questions shall be submitted by October 30, 2017. All answers to all inquiries will be returned to all interested parties in order to ensure that all proposers are operating with the same information. All answers to all inquiries will be made by the City of Mequon by November 6, 2017.

All answers to all inquiries regarding RFQ No. 2017-1 Community Gateway Features is being returned to all interested parties in order to ensure that all proposers are operating with the same information. Please see below for answers to inquiries regarding the RFQ.
1.Other than the Community Events Sign (pictured on page 6 of the RFQ), what other existing signage stays or should be removed?
The community events electronic sign board and donation plaque must remain. Parts of the sign may be altered if necessary. All other signage, including traffic signage, can be relocated. All transformers and mechanics in general boundary area can also be relocated so long as service continues to any facilities.
2.Aside from the four trees to be removed (illustrated on page titled General Project Area), what other landscaping stays or should be removed?
Please see attached for a map of elements to remain. The selected trees must remain and the rosebuds may be removed and transplanted if necessary. The remaining landscaping can be removed.
