About the City of Mequon
Located on the western shores of Lake Michigan just north of Milwaukee, the City of Mequon boasts lakeshore bluffs, stately homes, farmland, expansive open space, a variety of amenities, and access to Interstate 43 for a convenient commute to downtown Milwaukee. Mequon's rural heritage is preserved by high development standards and low-density zoning regulations. Mequon has a population of approximately 25,000, with one of the lowest crime rates and one of the lowest tax rates in the Metropolitan Milwaukee area. 

Position Overview
This full-time position will perform professional-level work in planning and development collaboratively with other staff members and various departments. Additionally, this position will work with developers, business owners, sign companies, community organizations, residents and landowners on behalf of the City of Mequon.

Required Qualification
A bachelor’s degree in planning, or related field required, and one year of professional planning experience is required. A Master’s degree with an emphasis on planning or community development is desired and may be substituted, in part, for experience. Position requires a valid Wisconsin motor vehicle operator’s license and a safe driving record.

Salary & Benefits
This position’s current salary range is $63,407 - $85,599. An excellent benefits package is also available and includes: health insurance, paid holidays and vacation, and membership in the Wisconsin Retirement System.
